Bill is from Guntersville where he attended Marshall County High School. He has degrees in Business from Jacksonville State University and a Masters from North Alabama. Retired from Jacksonville State as the all time winningest basketball coach with 477 wins. His 1985 team went 31-1 and won the NCAA National title and he was named the Kodak national coach of the year. Has been inducted in Jacksonville State, Marshall County, Calhoun County and the ASA Softball Hall of Fames. Married to Sue Jones
